The oilfields of the Nizhnevolzhsk Branch operations are characterized by a complicated subsurface geology, low reservoir pressure gradients and very strict environmental regulations for the drilling and production processes.
The Branch utilizes Danmar compressors and Williams rotating BOPs to underbalance drill difficult lost circulation zones. The Branch also utilizes Tesco top drives with hook load capacity of 450 tonnes to drill deep wells of exceeding 4,500 metres.
