Well construction is a complicated process involving a multi-disciplinary team of specialists and sophisticated equipment. The oil companies specify the well location and well parameters of the wells to be drilled. It is then the responsibility of the drilling contractor to drill the wells abiding by the agreed parameters. Once the well is completed and evaluated, a completion program is agreed with the oil company and then carried out. In most cases the quality of the well is determined by the fluid rate and fluid properties obtained shortly after the well is completed. Hence BKE’s team of highly skilled personnel includes; drilling and completion technologists, specialists for drilling fluid, drill bits, wellheads, tubular goods, mechanics, logistics people, and rig moving specialists.
