OOO Burovoya Kompaniya Eurasia (BKE) is the largest onshore drilling contractor in Russia, as measured by meters drilled, engaged in well construction and workover of all types of oil and gas wells at license areas of OAO Lukoil, OAO Rosneft Oil Company, OAO Gazpromneft, TNK-BP and other oil and gas companies. OOO BKE makes part of Eurasia Drilling Company Limited (EDC) which is listed on the London Stock Exchange.
BKE operations are concentrated in several major onshore oil and gas regions of Russia - Western Siberia, Volga-Urals and Timan-Pechora - and we also provide onshore drilling services in Eastern Siberia and Kazakhstan. The Company's head office is located in Moscow.
The Company's staff is more than 14,000 employees.
In 2005, BKE‘s systems of industrial safety and environmental protection management underwent successful certification on compliance with international standards ISO 14001:2004 “environmental protection” and OHSAS 18001:1999 “industrial health and safety”.
BKE is a member of the International Association of Drilling Contractors (IADC).
As of March 31, 2009, our rig fleet was comprised of 209 drilling rigs with the capacity up to 450 tons and 87 workover rigs.
In 2009 the Company drilled 3.75 million meters, the number of wells drilled was 1329.
BKE's production drilling market share in Russia in 2009 amounted to 25,4%.
By continuously acquiring new rigs and upgrading its existing rig fleet BKE is positioned to rapidly expand its business with new clients and in new geographic locations.
