On February 26, 2007 a meeting was held between the Chairman of the Board of Directors of BKE Mr. Alexander Yulyevich Dzhaparidze and the Company’s top managers, where an announcement was made of the decision of the General Meeting of BKE’s participants to appoint A.N. Bogachev President and Chairman of the Board of BKE to replace G.M. Shokurov in this position.
Gennady Markelovich Shokurov leaves the Company because his contract has expired. Under the management of G.M. Shogurov BKE’s drilling enterprises were integrated and a transition to the branch management system was made.
The new appointment is marked by completion of the transition period in the formation of an independent drilling company and the beginning of a new phase of development where special importance is attached to an efficient interfacing between the management headquarters and production units.
Being at the head of the Company’s largest branch, the West Siberian branch, Alexander Nikolayevich Bogachev successfully coped with a significant growth of work scope and led the branch to record high drilling figures.
The experience of managing a growing enterprise and organizing an efficient interfacing with customers was appreciated by the Board of Directors and owners of BKE and was in demand when A.N. Bogachev was appointed to the new position. The Company as a whole and the newly appointed President face tasks of increasing the Company’s profitability, its openness to the public, diversification of its portfolio of orders.
Mikhail Sergeyevich Gamzov who previously held the position of Deputy Director for Production at the West Siberian branch and had long been with the Company was appointed Director of the West Siberian branch and incorporated in the Management Board by a decision of the General Meeting of BKE participants.
